Fantastic place, simple but well appointed. Loved the car free development with lots of public open space and a great communal pool. Only things to consider is there is no wi fi and no bbq which was definitely a big miss for a summer holiday rental.

Great location. Love the pool. Was nice and quiet with private area for bbq. Shower could have been better and better life in bathroom. Very convenient with front and back yard.

très content de notre séjour. petit bémol sur le fait qu'il n'y avait pas la cafetière type bol comme sur les photos. ce qui nous a valu d'avoir acheter les filtres et le café pour Rien.

Équipe disponible, logement en cours de rafraîchissement ce qui lui fera le plus grand bien. Situation idéale pas loin du centre ville.

Très bon séjour à la Flotte , petite maison agréable et lumineuse bien située dans le village et très calme ( pas de voitures dans la résidence, terrasse agréable également. Quelques petits bémols : la télé n avait que très peu de chaînes qui marchaient, la machine à café ne fonctionnait pas et le sol n était pas très propre. Il manquait également une chaise bébé alors qu il était indiqué qu il y en avait une, mais l équipe à été très réactive et nous en a apporté une rapidement. Je recommande ce lieu et l entreprise qui gère ces locations.

Charmante maison très bien équipée et idéalement située, proche du centre ville, des commerces et de la plages. La terrasse est parfaite pour profiter des beaux jours et la piscine est vraiment un gros plus. Nous nous ferons un plaisir de revenir.

Très bon séjour dans ce logement bien placé. Petite terrasse intimiste et baignée de soleil. Grande piscine agréable et chauffée. L’équipe de la conciergerie est au top. A noter que le logement ne dispose pas d’un réfrigérateur avec freezer (dommage pour les glaçons de l’apéro ou les glaces pour les enfants…).

We really enjoyed our holiday here - the Hoomy team are professional and easy to communicate with, and the accommodation was good and as depicted in the photos on the listing. The communal swimming pool really made this holiday for us. It was great. The umbrella for the table in the garden was very much appreciated! We stayed here start of August and the temperature was about 28-32 degrees most days, but unfortunately there was no air conditioning or a fan … and there wasn’t much of a sea breeze, so falling asleep on most nights was a challenge. We then got badly bitten by mosquitoes as we had to leave the windows open. I’d suggest Hoomy to provide a few anti mosquito coils or candles. Or, a fan for the bedroom? The supermarket in town closes at 9pm in the summer, 8pm I think rest of the year, so if you’re arriving late and have small children, it might be tricky to pick up basics for the fridge and soap for the bathroom etc. La Flotte is often described as a large village … but in reality they must be simply referring to the number of homes. Regarding commercial provision - bars, restaurants and supermarkets etc - it’s really very small and rural. It’s truly lovely, and we had such a great holiday (we live in London, so this is exactly the place we were looking for!) but we would have panicked that first night if we hadn’t been able to run to the supermarket before it closed at 9pm, as we have a three year old and we had been travelling for most of the day. The restaurants are mostly fully booked every night and it’s difficult to get a table unless you also make a reservation. There’s a great burger truck and pizza restaurant for take-away food though. And of course, there’s the market each morning, where we bought so much seafood and cooked and ate at home. The accommodation was good but it is a bit basic. It’s far enough away from the centre of La Flotte to mean you won’t be disturbed at night from the noise at the harbour (they have live bands playing from 9pm most evenings in the summer and the decibel levels are very high!). Upstairs in the accommodation is very dated though, our light in the bathroom had to be repaired as we arrived, and an ant trap was set on the floor by the front door for the duration of the holiday (because of a broken tile and little hole in the wall). We also bought a beach umbrella and bucket&spade and have left them for future families staying here to enjoy. Upon booking, I didn’t receive a message from Hoomy and I had to reach out to them first via WhatsApp. They responded immediately. Since then, their communication was faultless. There is an additional cost for bed linen and towels, and you pay for this separately. We attempted to make the payment via Airbnb but this didn’t work, and then we had to pay via an external web link sent to us via email by Hoomy. I think this is bad practice. Although all was fine on this occasion, and Hoomy can absolutely be trusted, I think this sort of behaviour is how others abuse Airbnb. I’d recommend incorporating bed linen and towel costs into the flat fee to be paid when booking via Airbnb. I definitely recommend booking bikes! Cycling around the island and stopping off at oyster cabanes was incredible. Copains d’abord is an oyster farm and restaurant nearby and it was the best food we’d eaten (and no reservation needed! As we arrived at 12noon on the dot to be seated… any later you would have needed a reservation). Plenty of taxis from the airport to the accommodation (took about 15/20 mins), and Hoomy helped us with local taxi numbers so we could book a taxi back to the airport.

Très bel appartement dans une résidence calme où nous avons pu profiter de la piscine! La courette fermée à clé nous a permis de laisser nos vélos en sécurité Résidence idéalement située, à quelques Pas de l arrêt de bus, nous étions venues en train et navette depuis La Rochelle. Accès facile au port depuis la résidence En longeant la promenade du bord de mer. La Flotte est un très agréable village, bénéficiant de commerces de restaurants et de services de proximité. Un super séjour très reposant! Nous reviendrons!!!
